In 2015, we audited our AMR water meter registers for battery failure rate. Although the majority of our registers retain the ability to be radio-read for billing each month, we were no longer obtain a data log (graph of customer’s usage) on an estimated ninety percent of our registers. As data logs are a warranty item, we have worked closely with our manufacturer to obtain replacement registers. We began the first phase of replacing registers with the assistance of the meter manufacturer in 2016 and 2017. Eufaula Water Works personnel have continued to change out registers as workload permits, and we completed the replacement program in December 2018.
